The triolet is a fixed form poem of 8 lines. The first two lines are repeated at the end and the first line is also repeated as the fourth line. Lines 2, 6 and 8 have the same rime, all the other lines share the second rime. Le triolet est un poème de forme fixe de 8 lignes. Les deux premières sont répétées à la fin et la première se répète aussi à la quatrième ligne. Les deux rimes se distribuent de la manière suivante: une rime pour les lignes 2, 6 et 8 et l'autre rime pour toutes les autres.
